At the Primary level, PBL deepens subject integration, encouraging students to apply knowledge across disciplines. They engage in inquiry-driven investigations, research and project execution, fostering critical thinking, creativity and analytical reasoning. Through structured reflection and iteration, students gain confidence in problem-solving and self-directed learning.
Discovery Centre believes in creating a community that practices inclusivity and celebrates diversity through thoughtful interactions with all its key stakeholders. Our approach is holistic and caters to the emotional and intellectual needs of our students. Our key focus areas are:
Activities after school offer great developmental benefits that will help students academically and socially and play an important part in supporting learning. Engaging with new friends and being in a productive and new environment helps strengthen confidence and independence, realizing they are good at something boosts the child’s enthusiasm and confidence in a classroom. Through these activities children learn to collaborate, communicate, think critically and create new things which are essential skills for the future.
At Discovery Primary Years, our highly qualified teachers continue to engage in a process of professional development throughout their time at school, seeing themselves not only as educators but also as learners. Teachers play the role of facilitators and scaffold to provide need based assistance, during the process of learning. We ensure that our teachers strive for excellence and encourage students to continuously explore their gifts and talents as lifelong learners. They promote positive attitudes toward people and the environment, helping students make valuable contributions to society.
Discovery Primary Years offers modern and age-appropriate facilities to provide students every opportunity to experience as much as possible in a resource-rich environment:
A special Child Protection Committee is appointed at school to ensure the safety and protection of our students and a comprehensive child protection policy is followed to promote their physical, social and emotional well-being. In order to promote the holistic development of the child, we offer Physical, Social, Health and Emotional (PSHE) curriculum of international standards and regularly offer PSHE lessons in our Early Years. As a result of participating in PSHE, students are becoming increasingly aware and reflective. They are learning to question, review, and ultimately choose more positive directions in their lives.
