Early Years
DISCOVERY EARLY YEARS PROGRAMME
Discovery Early Years offers Enhanced Learning Environment which is an amalgamation of educational technology along with traditional resources. We incorporate hands-on activities, focusing on hardware, software, display and use devices. We use peripherals such as the multimedia projector, EyeRIS, visualiser, digital camera, TABS, netbooks, headphones, digital microscope, BeeBot, scanner, coloured printer and the all-in-one computer to make learning interactive in our multi-faceted classrooms.
We Offer
Blended Learning Approach: Blended learning is an educational approach that combines online digital media with traditional classroom methods. It requires the physical presence of both teacher and student, with some element of student control over time, place, path or pace.

Field Trips
Field trips are an integral part of the PBL process whereby students are energized by the excitement and anticipation of leaving the school environment and have the opportunity to see new things and learn about them in a more unstructured way. Children experience a more
holistic, integrated picture of the information, learning is enriched and reinforced with superimposing sensory and intellectual inputs.
Partnership with parents for school activities
We understand how important it is that parents are aware of what is taking place in the classroom. The more supportive and involved parents are in their child’s education, the greater the odds that the child will be successful. We also invite experts to our schools who engage children in healthy discussions and share knowledge about their jobs and responsibilities.

Technological resources
PBL provides opportunities for students to use technology. Students are familiar with and enjoy using a variety of tech tools that are a perfect fit with PBL. With technology, teachers and students can not only find resources and information and create products, but also collaborate more effectively and connect with experts, partners and audience all around the world. All classrooms are equipped with latest technological resources such as computers, multi-media projectors, interactive whiteboards and tablets.
Ideal student-teacher ratio
In order to provide a more individualized learning experience, we strive to maintain an ideal student teacher ratio.

Regular use of educational social networks for online homework and activities
There is an endless plethora of Ed-tech resources that have been introduced through the BSU platform which align with the curriculum. Discovery uses portals such as Edmodo, Google Classroom, Hangouts Meet, hence fast tracking the adoption of online learning, making
Beaconhouse a Hybrid organization where face-to-face and online interaction are optimally balanced to enhance efficiency and productivity. In a world where online engagement is important for businesses these students are becoming experts at developing a sense of internet presence. Not only do they know how to interact with others on the internet, they know how to use basic and even complex functions to do so.
After school clubs and activities to promote 21st century skills
Activities after school offer great developmental benefits that will help students academically and socially and play an important part in supporting learning. Engaging with new friends and being in a productive and new environment helps strengthen confidence and independence, realizing they are good at something boosts the child’s enthusiasm and confidence in a classroom. Through these activities children learn to collaborate, communicate, think critically and create new things which are essential skills for the future.
